LanguageCert Online exams with remote, live proctoring are based on award-winning technology that is owned and managed end-to-end by the PeopleCert Group. They provide a secure and reliable way for candidates of all ages to take high-stakes, internationally recognised exams from their preferred location without having to visit a Test Centre*. For candidates under the age of 16, guardian consent is required when booking.
This approach to assessment makes the entire exam process more accessible and tailored to the needs of individual candidates, while maintaining the highest security standards and offering international recognition.
Candidates have the option to either book LanguageCert Online exams with remote, live proctoring individually through the LanguageCert website, or register for Online exams by contacting their local LanguageCert Approved Test Centres, LanguageCert Online Examinations Registration Centre or LanguageCert Online Examinations Partner. LanguageCert is regulated by Ofqual and Qualification Wales and is a Home Office approved provider of SELT exams for UK Visas & Immigration.
Candidates are identified by an online invigilator through a secure ID process. They are monitored throughout to ensure that the testing environment meets the highest security standards, while our award-winning security software, ExamShield, locks down their device.

Online exam requirements
- Valid Government issued ID
- A quiet room with no distractions, sufficient light and a clean desk
- External or integrated webcam able to rotate 360-degrees
- Primary computer or laptop screen resolution 1024x768 or higher, at least 15”
- Windows® 11, 10, 8.1, 8
- MacOS Sierra (10.12), High Sierra (10.13), Mojave (10.14), Catalina (10.15), Big Sur (11) or Monterey (12)
- Active Full-Time/Broadband internet connection of at least 4Mbps
- A wired headset with a microphone
Re-sit an exam with Take2
Take2 can be purchased by candidates individually or through approved Test Centres and are available up to 15 minutes before the exam start time.
