LanguageCert ESOL

The English Test accepted globally

A set of English language exams for candidates who need to prove their English level in the UK and overseas for study, work, or personal development purposes.

LanguageCert ESOL is accepted around the world by universities and governments including UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), the Department of Justice in Ireland, and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Study in the UK

You can use LanguageCert Academic or LanguageCert ESOL as part of your UK Student visa application, if you are going to study a course at degree level or above, at a Higher Education Institution (HEI) that is a UKVI 'Licensed Sponsor'.

If you are planning to take a foundation, pathway or other below degree-level course, or you plan to study at an institution that is not a Higher Education Institution (HEI), you may need to take a Secure English Language Test (SELT), in which case you can use LanguageCert Academic SELT or LanguageCert ESOL SELT to support your visa application.

Please always check with your UK Higher Education Institution (HEI) to confirm their specific English requirements.

Study in New Zealand

LanguageCert ESOL is recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), which means that levels B1, B2, C1 and C2 of the exam meet the admission requirements to study in New Zealand.
