What is the SELT pass mark?

The pass mark for each exam differs and will appear on your Test Report. To find the pass mark for a specific SELT exam, visit the LanguageCert website.

How and when will I receive my results?

Preliminary results are released a few minutes after the exam for the two-skills (Speaking & Listening) exam. Test Reports are sent via email and are also uploaded to your LanguageCert account. These are issued within 3 working days for two-skills (Speaking & Listening) exams and within 5 working days after both components have been completed for four-skills (Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking) exams.

Take2 results for the four-skills exams (Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking) will be issued within 5 business days after the re-sit has been completed. Take2 results for the two-skills exams (Speaking & Listening) will be issued within 3 business days after the re-sit has been completed.

LanguageCert Certificates

If you achieve an average score of 60% or more in Speaking & Listening, or 50% or more in Listening, Reading, Writing and/or Speaking, you will be awarded the corresponding LanguageCert International ESOL certificate(s), regardless of whether you have reached your UKVI target scores in each of the language skills tested.
