The school began in 1987 with a small group of teachers wishing to bring academic excellence and a high standard of personal attention to students visiting from overseas to study English in Galway.

Over the past 30 years we have expanded to our present year-round, adult school of 20+ teachers and an average of 150 students per week (full and part time), but we have never forgotten the principles of the early school.
One of the unique features of Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre is its location in The Bridge Mills, an 18th century mill situated on the River Corrib in the centre of Galway. At this stunning scenery we offer a variety of English language courses, including general and Business English lessons, exam preparation courses of all levels in private or closed groups, as well as teacher training programmes. The small groups of learners (max 12 students per classroom) constitute the focal point of the school’s educational philosophy.
